Are any of the things in the video or screenshots utilizing the 32x? Looks like all Genesis stuff.

The game is primarily for Genesis. And for 32X I planned to add a third layer for the near background - like in Sega's "Fantasia".

You might be able to do something basic with that, but you likely won’t be scrolling those graphics, at least not easily. The 32x functionality in BEX (and in SecondBASIC) is incredibly limited due to the fact ASMX (the assembler used by both) doesn’t support SH2 ASM, so you only have access to the frame buffer. For scrolling, you’ll need to redraw each line of movement, then swap the frame buffer. You can imagine how painfully slow that will be. I would suggest looking into line or cell scrolling, and priority tricks rather than use the 32x for this. If you draw plane b tiles with a high priority, they’ll be on top of plane a tiles with normal priority. Just my $0.02 on it.
