1. What is the name of the o/s you run on your sega genesis? can you launch games from the command line, then return to it after you're done playing?
2. I'm an experienced QB programmer. Is there anything in basiegaxorz that lets me draw just lines or circles, insteadd of having placing tiles?
Thanks.

Hello MPN! ;D
1) Well, if you're refering to the Genesis itself (not that genesis computer built by Devster), there is no operating system. I concept operating system as a software that interfaces the programs and the hardware (when you call a game from the command line it is the OS that says to the processor to run that code, but in Sega Genesis it doesn't happens this way. When the system is turned on, it reads instructions from the address that is mapped to the cartidge, so you may consider that the game is the operating system that runs in the console.
2) Actualy, no. The way that the Genny draws graphics to the screen is using tiles. Even the text is in the truth, tiles being placed to create a text line, so for now there is no way. It would be possible by creating functions (or libraries) that could draw these shapes in the video memory in runtime, not impossible but I believe it would be anoying to code.
Cya!
