Just Wanted to get an opinion.
In my opinion
Assembly is the most EVIL,HARDEST,STINKING Language out there
C is evil (but that's beacause i only know CIN and COUT
BEX's Version of BASIC is cool with imports of graphics
BASIC's got my vote

Due to the lack of options, my vote goes for BASIC, but i prefer Pascal (God, i miss it!) C is hard: in Pascal or Basic the only important design decision is "should i use a FOR or a WHILE?". In C you have 5 or 10 ways to solve a single problem. Man, i hate it! Assembler is for ex-humans that lost their last trace of sanity

Well, I personally prefer C (Although I like Pascal, too ), mostly because I'm more used to it. Besides, there are a lot of C code snippets out there that can be used on the Genesis with little or no modification. ASM is also good for making subroutines, but I wouldn't make an ENTIRE game using exclusively assembly language.

straight up asm for me =), no matter what processor or how complex it takes to program
and while we're there, expect to see some dreamcast development added to "devster specialties" =D, including assembly stuff and emulators

in the c version of basiegaxorz, z80 assembler could be supported since i want to make a basic compiler for the older z80 like gameboy handhelds too =). gamegear and sms are z80's, so it shouldn't be hard to make another version for those machines

I'm fond of C =P -Easy -Fast -Readable -Both LOW and HI level dealing availability -Can be mixed with ASM with ease (GCC) GoGo C, GoGo C, GoGo C! ;D

C is evil (but that's beacause i only know CIN and COUT I think that is visual c++ C is printf and scanf C++ is std::cout or std::cin Visual C++ is just cout or cin ____________________________________________ I do agree however about the basic code being easier to program SEGA Genesis games.

I prefer REAL Basic variants, as opposed to VB. However, regular C is also great.

All my programs on the Amiga were 100% assembly. I love programming in 68K assembly... or 6502 assembly... or Z80 assembly. But not x86. That's just plain nuts.

BASIC Of course !!! I'm new to BASIEGA, but pretty old in BASIC. Discovering this software was like returning the origin of my goals. Today I am a programmer and webdesigner because in 1994 I did a course in DBase and Clipper thinking that I would make games for Master System. But life took me to other programming paths, but today I return to the main objective. Thank you for developing Basiega!!!!
