this topic may be more appropriate in the development forum, or else everything here will be basiegaxorz made =D
i don't really make any projects for basiegaxorz, i just code some small thing whenever i feel like it (galaxian, chicken, shnakee, freeway, lametris)
i just got one recently =P, but there's still a handful people that don't, but would like one
ditto
i think there are suckers out there that will buy homebrew sega cd games on cd-r's (see atariage). personally, i wouldn't buy no cd-r =P, especially when it's made with basiegaxorz 0oo00o
btw, create a legible, consistant guest name. i haven't looked at any ip's yet, but i know from the tone of vioce and style that this has been the same guest person posting as names like peon, USA, random stuff. what you're doing isn't abuse, but i think you should establish some cridibility for yourself

bah, i didn't want to make a new thread since i thought there'd be like a v0.25 (or the future release) thread around, so this one looked nice =D , you guys dunno what you're missing out, v0.25 i great =D hahaha j/k here's some more updates, add it to the list from the previous one Doc -> - Added the functions VBLANKON() and HBLANKON() Doc -> - Added the command WAITRASTER that will resume execution when the TV starts drawing on a specified line - Fixed a bug with the compiler not finding snasm68k if the working directory was not in basiegaxorz Doc -> - Added a command VIDMODE to switch to either 40 cell mode (default) or 32 cell mode Doc -> - Added the command TEXTWIDTH Doc -> - Added FontForeEntry and FontBackEntry to the list in the OPTIONS command Doc -> - Added OPTION Explicit to the option command, and can also be forced in the options menu Doc -> - Added the LOADFONT command Doc -> - Added the TEXTHEIGHT and TESTSTART commands - Forgot to halt the Z80 during CLS (clear screen uses video DMA) Doc -> - Custom functions and subs can now be declared Doc -> - Added OPTION CaseSense to the option command, and can also be forced in the options menu Doc -> - Added SELECT CASE Doc -> - Added DO and LOOP loops - Automatic Indentation and expanding tabs into spaces options have been added - Made a new style options window since I couldn't cram more stuff in the old one Doc -> - Added the command DRAWTILESINC2 that will draw tiles up->down, left->right - Added a check to halt the cpu if a RETURN instruction is used without calling a subroutine Doc -> - The DIM statement can accept more than one variable in a list, eg: Dim a as long, b as integer, ..... Due to this, some things are broken. Can't do: Dim a as string, b as long, c as integer: Print "Hello!" Doc -> - Limited user defined SUB/FUNCTION support Doc -> - Added the command FONTPAL - Fixed a bug with horizontal scrolling problems on real hardware - Fixed a mistake in scrolling plane B vertically for both SCROLL and SCROLL2 Doc -> - Added the function READSCROLL() that will read the value of the scroll memory - Fixed a bug with using the INPUT command with 6 button joypads on real hardware - Fixed a bug in PRINT and PUTS that ignored seperators , and ; in multi-line commands - Interrupters no longer save the data pointer, so data commands can be used in interrupters - When a compiler error occurs, the editor cursor is moved to the line containing the error and the line is highlighted - Fixed a bug with STR$() while using other string in the same expression before STR$() is evaluated - Fixed a major bug with ELSEIF not being recognized as ELSEIF. This bug is different from the ELSEIF nesting bug, which might be fixed soon - Fixed more bugs with the interrupters and heap allocating. The heap is now offset to an even address so assembly code can use word or long values in the heap, eg: command INPUTi am finding a WHOLE lot of bugs. i'm surprised that no one has found the obvious ones because i thought that since v0.19 is getting old, people would know about these bugs and report them (reason why for the next release). i found a major major bug with ELSEIF that makes it totally unworkable and limited. there's also many problems with the string routines (INPUT$, STR$, RIGHT$, i'm still fixing) the bad news: the point of this is that v0.25 is not going to be coming out anytime soon until i find all these bugs the good news: i'll release one of the compiled example programs =D, devster.retrodev.com/pub/irish.bin

BasiEgaXorz v0.25 is going to be great but why donĀ“t you release a BasiEgaXorz v0.25 Beta?. I mean, I know it is better to wait for a complete and debugged version but we are not very patient ;D.

Plus, with beta testers, you may find more bugs before the official version is released!
Maybe you should limit the number of beta testers to avoid a complete mess, sending the BEX Betas only for people who really USE and TEST it, like Tomman and others.
Cya!

because of popular demand, i will release a beta =P. i'm still adding features to the compiler, like more commands for the 32x though. one other thing that might set the release date farther is i've found a way to implement true subs/functions like in vb. what i mean by this is that subs/functions can be recursive, and variables can have scopes without eating away from your memory (when a sub is called, all variables used in that sub will be pushed onto the stack, and when it leaves, they will all be popped back)

is this the 9th version i've made, or the 10th? i've lost track
but the real question you have to ask yourself is............ do i feel lucky?
well, do ya punk?
i don't feel like releasing a beta on friday anymore,
but instead i'll release it tommorow, 4/7/05 to be exact =D. read the front home page, or this forum tommorow =)
