Considering how these things work, it will be sold by several thousands to an stupid collector that already have lots of devkits and no idea about how they do work or which parts do they have.
It's sad for the community... if you only had unlimited credit...

I agree with you Tom, but apart from taking dust in some collector's closet (probably a guy from www.assemblergames.com/), I really can't see which "useful" purpose this could serve. Personally, I possess everything necessary to inject custom code in any Sega console right now and the tools I use to program are way more powerful than what was provided to developers back then. As for the so-called "confidential" user manuals and the tools (if you are feeling nostalgic), they can be easily found on the net. Actually, I'm much more tempted by old arcade boards than these devel rigs. For instance, I'd really like to lay my hands on a Naomi 2 which is basically a Dreamcast render cluster. (If only I had some cash to throw out of the window...)

Haha, i was also going to say that some collector guy that runs a website, *cough* *cough* www.assemblergames.com/ is gonna buy it too . I also don't see a purpose in an old devkit either - and it's probably incomplete too, I don't see any cables, or dongles to go with the thing. It will end up from one person's garage, collecting dust, to another person's garage to collect dust. The only purpose I see in it is to make some $$$$ though . I would really want to buy one of these though XD

It might make .01% of the development easier (debugging some stupid litte hardware error), but emulators like Fusion and MESS (for single step assembly debugging), work wonders. I prefer my current setup.
