Yes, between the faster rendering (compared to the first demo conversion in particular), the background music, and the sound effects, it's ALMOST like a real game.

OK, finally used your PWM audio patch for Gens/GS, rebuilt my r7 binary (i'm on Fedora Core 6, so my GTK is old enough to not give build issues ), and... I'M LOVIN' IT! Neat stuff, the 32X surely is not just a moldy mushroom

Thanks! The 32X was perfect for tracker style digital music. I would like to believe that if SEGA hadn't dropped the 32X in 95 that devs would have been using DMA PWM and tracker music for games. The official 32X SDK has SEGA making devs use the "standard" Genesis music format with the addition of being able to play four sounds via the PWM (which is interrupt driven). Lame!

If you have to ask, then no, I don't think you can do it. Sorry. It's one of those things that shows whether you have the appropriate skills yet.
Sega CD programs can activate the 32X by copying the proper header and data to the 32X frame buffer, then set the comm register to "_CD_". For more specific info, consult the 32X SDK floating around the net. They have 32X/CD examples.
Said examples could be done from BEX, but you'd have to learn how the examples do it, then get good enough at BEX to do the same thing from inside BEX.
