Um, just to let you now, that's been pretty much fixed. A and C now both jump, so shift your fingers over to B and C and you'll be fine (A was left as jump for those who primarily gamed on the MD back in the day and who may have gotten used to A as a jump button). Make sure you're using the newest revision as linked two posts before yours (actually, the updated revision posted on the first post will work for that even if Mairtrus didn't update it). I set my keys for Fusion back to the default that I normally use, and B+C works fine as a replacement for NES B+A.

Guys it's unbelievable, awesome work. Music is so bass Mairtrus, do you have any idea about next NES port? How about "Battletoads and Double Dragon"? Or "Fire 'n Ice": P.S. I test it on real Genesis, work perfect.

Please fix "Soft Reset"
Everytime I hit reset on fusion, it goes to a blue screen & still play it..

Ok, thanks for noting the button thing, I didn't realize C and A do the same thing. My only OTHER quip with SMB4MD is the choice of instruments for the music section; I'm trying to come up with good tfmmaker instruments for the standard 5 NES channels (well, the four used by SMB); so far i have a reasonable 50% duty square, a so-so 25% duty square, a poor 12.5% duty square. I haven't done noise nor triangle yet, though triangle isn't much more than a modified sine wave anyway with some square component added... And yes, you can do 50% duty square as well as noise using the PSG, I know.

Great work! (but some sounds(instuments) in music need to correct) I planned to do the same someday. (exactly with the translation code) Mairtrus, can you give me a this code translation tool? I have disasmed NES sources for PacMan and Dig Dug.

Ok, here's two tfmmaker patches so far: The first is a standard squarewave at 50% duty cycle, similar to what the psg could produce. The second is an absolutely awesome triangle wave patch created by tepples, and submitted here with permission from him. I'm still working on finding decent 25% and 12.5% duty square patches. Great work. I may be in the minority here but I like that the music is not perfect. I think it actually adds to the experience.

When you release the tools, please make it open source. I mean, I always use SN68K, and each assembler is different.

I disagree, I think the music could be vastly improved, it sounds horribly muddy and half-done to me.

Well, put a cheatcode for selecting the music tone I actually love both - not only the original NES tunes but also this "port remix".

A bit more of a remix would be nice.

The music is definitely this port's weakness. Yet at the same time it shows an incredible potential (i.e. World 1-2 music!). tepples made a nice attempt at recreating the music for World 1-1 in TFM and posted it over at NESdev: nesdev.parodius.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?p=63564#63564Personally I would move over some stuff to the Genesis' SN76489. It's a PSG like the NES' 2A03 so it should help a lot to faithfully replicate some sounds. The FM/PCM channels allow great rhythm, synths, and bass. It's the combination of the FM + PSG that always gets me excited... sexually. EDIT: An alternative might be to copy some channels to both PSG & FM so that they play along each other!

The sound effects are already running on the PSG.
