Hi folks! I want to rewrite an old Sega Genesis game called 'Master of Monsters' for modern computer systems. I want to extract all the graphics and sounds I can from the original ROM in order to make the new version as authentic as possible. I've attempted to use multiple tile extraction tools including TileMolestor, sv, nana, and others. None of them can correctly decode the graphics. If anyone could help me out with getting the tiles out of the ROM it would be greatly appreciated! If your interested in helping me and can't find the ROM yourself, send me an email (robert@cosmicrealms.com). Thanks! PS - I'd be willing to PAY via PayPal for any assistance in getting the tile graphics out! Name your price

if the tiles are encrypted (most likely are) it will be a pain in the arse to find the encryption algorithm to decrypt the tiles.
there are emulators that will dump the current vram into a bitmap format so you can manually parse out the tiles that way, but it will take a long time to put them back together.
the genesis VDP stores tiles in a variety of ways, so you would have to go in and get the tiles used for BG plane a and b, (and the overlay plane if its used) and the sprite plane also.
