for pci its hard because of the interfacing with the memories and everything. i never liked pci, it was too geared to the software developers, and not to the hardware people =( cause they have their own standards on how the bus works and whatever, i never understood it =P. i would have to get myself bridging ic's or something.
but, if i did it on the oldskool isa bus, it'd be a piece of cake =D. i'd just use one isa slot for the memory interface (upload roms) and for peripherals. then i'd use another isa slot to fit in a tv capture card from ebay =D. i could always put it all into one card and make my own "tv capturing interface", but one on ebay these days are cheapo

oh yes, i've seen that before. that's pimptronic. doing the same thing for the genesis is hard, since the vdp isn't in your good 'ol dip n chip getup
and dude, if you have windows xp, i highly recomend that you use an emulator instead =P! this would be tight for something like a 386 =D. i could also use that radica 6 in 1 mini genesis for the console instead of taking apart yet another genesis 1 or 2.
some have said that some games don't work with the radica though. i think they will =P, they were probably running 3 volts into the cartridge XD i dunno, i gotta get one of these to find out for myself
