My last BasiEgaXorz game War in the Machine has been re-released by Good Deal Games.
Added a new control scheme that uses the d-pad for UP and DOWN instead of A and B.
Same gameplay. All bosses and normal enemies are random. Even the background and enemy tactics randomize over time. Once a certain quota of enemies have been killed the boss appears. Defeat the boss and a new wave appears with faster opponents with slightly tweaked AI. You can only move vertically BUT button C gives you temporary invincibility.
This uses the old XGM driver so sound doesn't work on cheap genesis clones or expensive Mega SG systems. I gave the Mega SG core developer some info so he *may* have dealt with it?
I encountered a weird issue where the game seemed to crash if I called the soft collision function too far away (in lines of code) from where the soft collision code was. Never found a great workaround for that.
