Hi Devster!
You seem to be very active on 32x now, that's really cool. I've tried WallMarsX, but the snasmsh2.exe does not run under winXP, the snasm68K instead works fine. I'm trying to use a SH2 C-compiler for 32x programs, but haven't yet succeeded to completely build a 32x rom.
Any advice on snasmsh2 or the 32X C-programs?

there's no way snasmsh2 will not work with winxp =( unfortunately, there are no freeware sh2 assemblers that exist. you could use the assembler from the gnu compiler "sh-as" and that will work, but you'll need to modify the wallmarsx headers to work with the syntax.
and about programming in c, you're going to need to do a lot of work for that to produce those binaries from the 3 different processors. i've made all the scripts for gcc to compile 32x rom binaries from different source files. it'll be upcoming attractions =D. my libraries and scripts will be out before this year

Yes, those gcc scripts will help a lot.
I managed to compile some C-examples and libraries for the 32X Cartdev system using the KPIT GNUSH gcc-coff compiler, that is used for Saturn dev. But I haven't tried yet to use the binaries with WalMarsX, because of snasmsh2 doesn't workk with WinXP.
Although it runs under FreeDOS, I will reinstall Win98 or something.
I very look forward to your C-compiler scripts for 32X.

i think there may be a winxp version of snasmsh2 around somewhere on the internet. i mean, i found snasmsh2 on the internet, i didn't obtain it anywhere else =P. i think snasmsh2 was for saturn dev because psygnosis (?) was the one that released it, but i guess cross products recompiled it or something. you can find the manuals for it too made by that company

What about releasing the sources to your devstertests?
WalMars X would need some example that can be build with it.
Have you managed to use a sh2 C compiler for 32x programing?
It may take a while until I got time to focus on the 32x again, but a C example that uses the 32x would ease it a lot for me and others to get into.

the source codes for devstertests have been lost. for the devstertests, i've just kept on building and improving on the same source code, and then releasing a runnable binary snapshot and yes i got c code to run on the sh2 a long time ago using gcc utils. the scaling and rotation demos were not made in asm, but in c. a sample source was released at devster.retrodev.com/pub/start.c
