Hi! Now through the program ImaGenesis it is possible to create a picture of the complete screen with a palette 16 colours (file 35 Kb). Whether it is possible to add in ImaGenesis function of quantization in 32 colours - to create two files on 35 Kb and two palettes till 16 colours. How the subroutine of a conclusion of such screen in BasiEGA will look? Thanks.

i dont have all the brain power to quantize an image to 32 colors for the genesis that has a pallette of 16 colors. it would mean taking each tile and digging up the color information, and matching it with other tiles, and keep on doing that to get 32 colors.

But what about a 16 colours image in plane A and a 16 colours image in plane B? We would have a 32 colours screen.

yes, youre true. You can also make 16colors on planeA, on planeB and on sprites ;D... I did that in one of my demo. In fact, i usee PaintShopPro6, i took a pic, i reduced the colors to 31 and i moved 16 colors to a black color; To get 2 * 16 colors files............. You can also use Shadow/hightlight to boost the colors. In singapore demo, i get 100 colors. fvring.free.digitartstudio.com/index.php?main=cga&sub=mcdAnd you can also make a raster effect (i'm not sure if its possible with basic). I made a demo (not downloadable) with +-1400 colors at once. Bye Fonzie

Hi! Large thanks Fonzi for good idea. It would be very perfect, if DevSter has added in ImaGenesis function of reception 1 or 2 or 4 screens on 35 Kb with different palettes from one IBM-PC-image. One more question. Let's assume, I have maked 2 screens with 2 palettes on a technique Fonzi. Whether it is possible to combine these two screens in the plans A and B so that the colours mixed up through OR or XOR (not raster effect)? If it is possible, the quantity of colours (including mixed) sharply would increase.

Here is the exemple (i hope it will answer your questions, lol). For the XOR technique you mean making a semi-transparancy in the plane A? Its not very possible because you can only have 16 colors per tiles. Bye Fonzie
