how do you import dac samples, this info I really would like to know, since DAC isnt directly supported, if you have asm code or POKE and PEEK code, let me know, what good is FM and PSG without a few drums playing in the background?

I've never used the DAC before, but I checked some documentation of the OPN2 (it's the YM2612 section of that sega2doc thingy) and I took a stab at it and uploaded the resulting ROM with Basic source to my webpage. Here's a link to the file: www.geocities.com/eiennarufuyu/dactest.zipThis probably isn't a great example, I've read that it's actually best to send the PCM data to the DAC using the Z80, but whatever, eh. And as a side note, you don't need PCM to have drums. I actually prefer FM drums, but that's just an opinion. Keep on rockin'!

i haven't seen any decent free webhosts lately. usually there are some that will give you all these features, and then after a couple of weeks, will fold up and get shut down or something. the webhost i used before retrodev was netfirms, and that was crap still. its better than geoshities though, anything's better than that =P

The DAC is what's used for drums/aux. for the Sonic games right? I tried using a drum set that came w/ the ym2612 tracker I have and it is horrid.

No, the fm operators are used for the percussion. One of these days, I'm going to finish making a full set of instruments for the ym2612.
