Hi lunchbox, I tested your driver and this great. But I see that the sound volume is low compared to the music from a CD. I tried to increase the volume of samples with Audacity but only get their distortion. ¿I can increase the volume in any way? Thanks! This could probably be changed in the ASM source and then re-compiling the driver that is being linked or added into your bex program. I dont know for sure that there is a value in the source for that driver for volume settings that can easily be changed to be honest. Id have to look and see. More than likely its something like adding a multiply value in there for volume when writing the sample out or something of that nature. Ill try and look later tonight if i get some time. Hi lunchbox, Have you found a solution? Thanks!

I have not had any time to look at it honestly. Between a busy dayjob and a newborn child my time is fairly non existant. Ill see if i can post up the source and tools used to compile the driver with a batch file for windows that will auto-compile if run. I believe the source is a single file from what i remember but ill have to dig around for it on my computer when i get a chance.

Found the driver and all files on my computer tonight. Here is a zip file with all files needed. Just run compile.bat and it should output driver.bin which gets loaded into the z80. Z80 Driver Source.zip (103.46 KB)

Hi lunchbox,
I found the problem and not is the driver. The problem is in the wav2snd.exe converter. I converted the same sample in raw with wav2snd and audacity. And with audacity the sample sounds higher.
The audacity export configuration is : other uncompresed files - RAW - Signed 8 bit PCM and project rate (Hz) = 16000
Thanks for everything and greetings!

Great!! I thought i had increased the volume of the wave file prior to converting and was able to get it to sound louder now that i think about it. But i was still converting with wav2snd which was probably turning it down volume wise when converting. Thanks for the settings, I mainly use goldwave to do raw audio conversions but audacity works as well Happy coding!
