So called "Mega Driver" flash cards are unauthorized clones of the Everdrive made in China. I don't have any experience with them myself, but i do urge you to read up on them so you can make a informed decision ( aside from whether you find it ethical to buy pirated goods to begin with ). + I'd recommend going with a Mega EverDrive. Being able to launch a ROM straight from BEX through USB saves a lot of time & hassle.

Well. I ordered one after reading all the reviews. Some say it is just as good as their everdrive.
I am curious what it will be. It sure saves alot of money, lets see if the quality is also good once i received it.

Some say it is just as good as their everdrive. Some perhaps, but certainly not everybody. Anyway, it's up to you of course. I still need to figure out how to flash it through USB You've got a Mega Everdrive but aren't using the USB feature?! It's not difficult .. simply install the driver, get the USB uploader tool and create a simple batch file ( "mega-usb.exe basic.bin" ) that you can launch from BasiEgaXorz. And that's it, then you're all ready to use the following setup So, when you compile a BEX project and then press the Sonic icon* in BasiEgaXorz, it gets uploaded and launched on the MegaDrive. *For some reason the "Uploader Path" doesn't get stored, so i'm using the "Tile Editor Path" instead.

You've got a Mega Everdrive but aren't using the USB feature?! It's not difficult .. Oh, it's not because it was difficult or that something was actually preventing me from using that feature After it arrived in the mail, life became a little hectic so my game time/BEX time has been very limited, so I've been sticking to emulators for the moment However, your drawing is simply awesome Did you make the graphics for the diagram or did you find them somewhere?

My MegaED is too far away from the computer to use USB, so I stick with SD. It's still damn fast for testing, especially when you compare it to something like Dreamcast homebrew where I have to write a CD to test the software.

Did you make the graphics for the diagram or did you find them somewhere? It's slapped together using graphics from various manuals

Yeah, I could get an extension for it. Already have one I use for the Saturn USB dev cart, so it wouldn't be all that different having another for the MED.
