This is crazy, I just lost it when people were commenting on the soundtrack . I saw comments about people trying to interpret the soundtrack, and figure out how it harmonizes together etc. Only me and tomman know exactly how that soundtrack is generated haha

OK, enough bashing: YouTube community needs more CrazyBus! Time to blow off the dust from the ancient sources, and give some BasiEgaXorz 1.xx love (latest CB 1.1 was built with the good ol' BEX 0.26!!!).
It will feature:
- Ordered dithering quantization for pictures - Tile maps! - Double-decker busses (as a tribute, because these were recently banned in Venezuela, too many accidents with these) - More music, written by Satan, the Black Cat, and DJ Not-Tiesto - Less debugging crap. - Once i understand the Mars video commands, a 32X version!
Wow, i'm seriously out of practice with BasiEgaXorz. My last release was with the (as of today) not-Youtubed PLACAMASTER 68K, in early 2008. Now it's the time to get back to the Genny development.

Exclusive preview of the 2.xx branch, courtesy of Mr. Blurrycam(tm):
Features: - Total code rewrite on BEX 1.37 - Fresh, hotter pictures! Now with full dithering, tilemapping, and optimized drawing routines! - The trademarked music is still there, but it's now more randomized! Bring your own entropy by mashing buttons! Be the next DJ Negaverse - Same old bus lineup. Classics NEVER DIE. - Now using Vertical Blanking Interrupts!
Coming on Q1 '10 for your favorite 16-bit console....
(for now, my main site is down due to hosting issues, and Eidolon's Inn file uploader is broken or something, so we will have to survive with those Megaupload links in the meanwhile. If anyone wants, i can provide Badongo links too)
2.00 (Momohime - 18/03/2010) - Built on the greatest and latest BasiEgaXorz 1.37 - Crash-tested on Kega Fusion (3.63x) and Gens/GS (r7) under Linux x86_64 - Dozens of fresh and hot pictures, now with more visual quality! (all those shots snagged by me, your host - Almost total code rewrite - The "evil" music is now (slighty) customizable. Bring your own entropy by mashing buttons randomly! Run it on a PAL console for extra fun! - Optimized pictures using tilemaps. Less memory, more savings, we've gone green - Realistic sound for the bus horn (inspired on electric horns from some doubledecker busses) - Smooth scrolling on the bus selector (as it should have been implemented from the beginning - Fixed dozens of on-screen drawing bugs and artifacts - "Reverse" alarm, just like modern busses - Total overhaulin' to the playfield - Removed ALL debugging messages - And much more...
PS: And now, a small request: For those guys out there with flashcarts, could anyone test this on the Real Thing? I would appreciate a photo or even a short video of CB running on the real deal, but most importantly, i would like to hear the sound effects - emulators are often inaccurate for PSG sounds. Be aware that CrazyBus is meant for NTSC consoles - PAL users will get a warning message, and the game will run way too fast (but the music will be awfully slow, based on emulator testing). The engine sounds more realistic on Gens, but... how does it sound on a REAL PSG chip? For your convenience, the release ROM has been padded to 1MB.
