i read that this one didnt have a zylog z80 in it. wtf? the zylog controled the PSG and the yamaha, what did they just hand the control over to the 68k?
lol wouldnt that just bog down the cpu more after its already doing most of the work anyways?

A small question: When we use PSG function in BasiEgaXorz it is being controlled by the 68k or Z80?

in the real hardware the Texas Insturments PSG and the Yamaha 2612 are controled by the Zylog Z80.
and the Z80 i think gets all of its instructions from the 68000
but when you add the 32x, i think the sh2s have direct access to the sound hardware, because i can kill the Z80 and still get normal sound.

the sh2 doesn't have direct access to the z80. although you can access the z80 from an sh2, it wasn't very prectical, and not recomended by sega. i think some games don't use the z80, and just play sound from the 68k
