i’m always searching in git hosting sites (like gitlab and bitbucket) for software-libre ansi-basic cross-compilers for 68k architecture (whatever, could be for Atari-ST, Amiga, Sinclair QL, anything) that could be forked into a BEX-compatible one. If someone know or is willing to start some project, please let us know! (And saying it again, would be really great if both BEX and Second Basic developers could release their source codes as GPL licensing compatible, so we could help improving them a lot, and compiling them to whatever operating system, making it command-line only if needed, etc.)
The developer of SecondBASIC does not ask for fees or royalties. If you have suggestions or bugs to report he's also responsive. GPL has become confusing and restrictive enough that it doesn't fit every project. As a long time user and tester for SecondBASIC I can safely say my needs are well met. I've never had difficulty just directly asking the developer how I can help.
I'm really interested in your ports of ZX BASIC Nitrofurano. Maybe you could do yet another port for the sega genesis using your personal choice of license. Heck, you could probably re-purpose the sega master system port and just use the z80 and other SMS hardware in the genesis. I'd love to test such a hybrid compiler!

That's really it, plus, the code is really messy, not commented, and there's other unfinished/in progress stuff in there that I don't want people to know about yet
